RANDY-DOT-NU TREASURE-MAP

Salutations, Reader.
Well prepared, I wanted to start the year strong, yet my health decided to take another turn; Everything goes wrong. …Fortunately, Power-Patron of the first hour and Code-Master of the StarArena asked if I wanted to create artwork for RANDY–DOT–NU.

Long-Covid brings with a yo-yo effect, much like Ebb and Flood. Nevertheless, it remains demoralizing when the simple task of putting pencil to paper becomes too hard to pursue.

Flood = When the energy is up and you feel near the human you were before the pandemic.
Ebb = When the energy is down and you feel completely drained, as if stuck in the mud.

After decades of ‘Here Comes The Cavalry’ by Randy with Web-Craft, I felt highly motivated to return the favor in Graphics. We opened a Chat for discussing the website and we soon set one ground-rule to accomplish and adhere to: Not-A-Template!*

*Referring to the ocean of digital-brochures out there without a sparkle of creativity that can be mindlessly interchanged with another.

What we agreed on was not to do as expected and recapture some of that pioneering spirit from the nineties. Below you can follow the Concept-Session as it ran for days of fun…

A welcome distraction and incentive to drag oneself out of bed and see clear though the mist of unwanted despair. It is hard to Reboot oneself from these periodic Covid-Crashes at the bottom of the barrel once more. The Interplay at the end of each day made for shared credits on the content by both creators equally. Sure, I did the drawing; But I need to clarify that it was a shared adventure and neither of us knew the outcome.

Randy-Dot-Nu: Converting Web to Tabletop Fun!

Only because the website project felt so much like an RPG setting, did I dare suggest we make an actual Game-Board of it when finished? …I mean really; Who has that!? Below you can view the rough draft for both Website and Board-Game.

Currently I am in the process of drawing True to Scale and getting ready for Vectorizing the artwork for production. Unfortunately, yours truly has hit another SNAFU and has put a brake on the time I can spend behind the drawing board daily…
