Behold Arcade Chess: Shogi, played by Commanders of futures to come as A Game Of Generals. This 9×9 Battle Grid is a didactic Gateway Game from 2 Player to Multi Player Miniature Mayhem and Madness in Mega War Games. Taught to Officer Cadets in the 25th century Star Academy.

Once again it must be mentioned; This Mini War Game is a By Product that surfaced during the game testing of the Miniature Game Mechanics. The working theory was if we (my son and me) could make this Mini Game fun and actionable; With 2 players pitting the Guardian Armies against each other on this claustrophobic close quarters combat battle grid? We were ‘Sure As Hell’ it would make a Great Game; Letting Loose The Minis On A Mega War Battle Grid!

The Shogi Formation

Arcade Chess: Shogi is the full scale deployment of an Army Division in The Arcade. As per standard: One Division guards the Harmonic Ring at each Octant, Color and Code of the Inner Sanctum. The Official Formation is 3 x 9: Which is formed by an Upper, Middle and Lower Echelon per division. (By extension: 3 Special Warrant Officers may be added per division during Mega War Games, putting the total of Battle Clones in the Guardian Garrisons at 240 units.)
